Paintings by Manet and Vermeer brought to the Hermitage

The Hermitage is one of the most famous museums not only in Russia but all over the world. The jewel of the Northern capital is the repository for a huge collection of art objects from around the world. This summer the Museum will delight Petersburgers with a special exhibition - in the Hermitage will bring paintings of Edouard Manet and Jan Vermeer.


That the Hermitage will bring paintings by famous masters told us the head of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky. His intention is to show the people of St. Petersburg a few paintings of the founder of impressionism and the greatest of the Dutch masters. In particular, visitors will be able to see "Olympia" by Edouard Manet and "The Geographer" by Jan Vermeer.
