Erte's career was developing brightly and rapidly: after only a few years after moving to the French capital, he began to create costumes for Mata Hari and Anna Pavlova. In 1915 he began collaboration with the publication of Harper's Bazaar. In the art world there is the phrase "the style of Erte", which was characterized by entertainment, exoticism and fantasy.
The costumes, scenery, posters, the artist was in demand throughout his life. His last work was a set design for the Broadway musical "Stardust". This show he designed at the age of 97 years.
